- Read the copy out loud to see how it will “sound” to the reader.
- Assess each word and decide if it you can delete it or if there’s a short, simple word that can be substituted. (One of my personal favorites is swapping “use” for “utilize.”)
- Vary the sentence length. Some should be short. Some long. Still
other sentences should be longer, since they create a rhythm that’s
more interesting to the reader.
